Frank,

We had citation-free inspections of our operation on a fairly routine basis up until about two years ago. At that time, the inspectors were (by and large) complimentary in their assessments of our operations and the efforts of our personnel. The contrast from those times to more recent is stark. Inspectors have been seemingly committed to hang paper on us scrutinizing not just the equipment and systems, but also every facet of the paperwork.

We had our first citation-free inspection in this past two year period about two months ago. We made a very big deal of it to our people as I reasoned that under the present scrutiny, they achieved a marvelous goal. The sad side to this accomplishment is that we also prudently keep the information very close as we perceive that the operation will be targeted in future inspections. For this concern, I have to request that the great objective that our guys reached in this recent citation-free inspection be kept just among us friends. What should be heralded now must be hidden.
