Dick Waldera is the Manager of Spencer Quarries. He requires excellence and accountability from his employees. Dick ensures it with quality training as to "what, why, how, and the consequences of not following the guidance" relative to their assigned tasks. His classmates referred to him as "King Dick" or "Dr. Waldera". He is a wonderful example of an Aggregates leader. Spencers has an incident rate of 0.78! |

Jason Weatherton, Weatherton Construction Co., had to leave us midweek to utilize his new Knowledge of the Act at one of his sites which had a surprise inspection. He had to drive ten hours round-trip and obviously did well. Three very questionable citations were never written by the MSHA inspector after he was challenged with the Standards and written National Enforcement Policy which Jason quoted from his new Edition V. $afepro Law Manual. |

John Morris and Shawn Klemann, Morris, Inc., have both established a $afe Production agenda during the Seminar which will contribute to the safe work sites and profitability of their company and the Industry. Working with these two young Aggregates officers assures me that the Industry's future is in good hands. |

Lynn Kading, President of Hills Materials and ICM hosted AGC at Hills' training facility. He is known as one of Oldcastle Materials' most effective executives. His realistic expectations, openness to ideas from his employees, and his high moral standards make him a pleasure to do business with. Thank you Lynn for your hospitality and contributions to the Industry. |

| Jerry Simunek, Foreman Hills Mtls., has led by incorporating the principles of training, observation of performance, and accountability since his introduction to $afe Production in the late 90's. His contributions to his company and the SD Industry are reasons that $afe Production is spreading to the other companies in his region. He is known as a "fair and firm" leader who expects the same quality performance from his Quarrymen as he demands of himself |
