Safepro's red herring headline reads:

"MSHA's Credibility Crisis
What reasonable grounds does MSHA have to request a "Production Stand-down" for the Aggregates Industry?"

Fact: MSHA requested a one hour voluntary safety stand down for coal mines to discuss safety on February 6th. This activity had nothing to do with the aggregates industry nor was it a "Production Stand-down."

The executive director of the West Virginia Coal Association told me that his members and the miners found the stand down useful and that MSHA personnel were professional and curteous.

Safepro ought to reflect on it's own credibility before it pulls its rhetorical trigger the next time.

Sincerely,
David Dye
