MSHA enforcement has become so burdensome to the M/N Industry that the North Carolina Aggregates Association has issued a three-page letter aimed at federal lawmakers. It has been drafted and distributed to the region's trade associations. The intent is for them to tailor it to the circumstances unique to their members, then send it on to their representatives in Congress. Two of those organizations, North Carolina and Kentucky, have done so. $afepro is publishing this letter for mining firms to download and tailor it their needs and give copies to Miners & Quarrymen to sign and send to their Representatives and Senators. A letter from an Association or Mining Firm Executive is just one letter. A letter to Congresspoeple from all Mine & Quarry employees in the US represents over 400,000 votes. Congress appears to react to numbers. Please distribute the letter and help the Industry capture the Congresspeople's attention and save our Mining & Quarrying jobs.
